Syariatullah and Sunnatullah
Lately I have been a fan to the new slot in Radio IKIM, Motivasi pagi which is aired every morning from 7:30-7:45 am . The motivation slot is given by Pahrol Mohd Juoi. He is the chief editor for magazine Solusi. Owhh..i fall in love with his delivering. Every sentence that he said does make sense and easy to grab and full with meanings. I want to share some notes about one topic in which i believe was presented on Tuesday last week. He talked about Shariatullah and Sunnatullah. Our life revolve around these two concepts. Shariatullah is the halal haram things that Allah has prescribed. Every act or deed that we do every day in our life must fall into one of five categories : Sunnat, Waajib, Mubah, Makrooh and Haraam. On the other hand, Sunnatullah is law in the universe that Allah has created. For instance, fire is hot and snow is cold. Another example is efforts will be followed by success. In essence, Sunnatullah is nature or science that happens to everyone, inshaAllah, not only Muslims. As a Muslim, we must hold tightly to both Shariatullah and Sunatullah. we must fully oblige with Allah`s commands and prohibitions. Doing waajib things at the fullest ability, correclt and with istiqamah. Ustaz Pahrol popped the question of why Muslims around the world are struck with underdevelopment, divided nations and lack of control in such fields as economy. He said the reason lies in our mistakes not following Sunatullah correctly despite our strong hold on Shariatullah. He further elaborated that Sunatullah and Shariatullah must come together, not independently in order for a Muslim to success here in this world and later in akhirah. For example, a muslim , she prays constantly without failing, asking Allah to grant her success in SPM. But, she doesn`t study hard. The result is, she would fail in her test, eventhough she has constantly asked Allah. This is because she does not abide the rule of Sunatullah, in which in order to do well in an exam, a person must read books, and make constant review. Another example given is a Christian Chinese girl; she studies really hard and set up study group as her preparation to sit in SPM. The result is, she would receive flying color, inshaALlah. In this case, she does follow the rule of Sunatullah , and she got it. Yes, she does lack the Shariatullah component, so her success would be in worldly terms only, when in akhirah she would be a great loser. Most of non Muslim people they do strictly follow the Sunatullah law, and that would make them much more successfully than Muslims. Whreby Muslims, they just abide with Shariatullah while giving less attention to Sunatullah.
Thus in conclusion given by Ustaz Pahrol, in order to achieve success both in dunya and akhirah is by strictly follow Sunatullah and Shariatullah.
