Lecture The Race Towards Allah by Sheikh Sajid Umar @ KGPA

Alhamdulillah, it was such a pleasure for me to meet eye to eye with Sheikh Sajid Umar. Masha Allah indeed the Sheikh is so knowledgeable, humble, eloquent and always smiling. I enjoyed his lecture entitled The Race Towards Allah so much. I was surprised to see a low turnout at the event as I think the advertisement was good, and it was similar to what they had on other talks. I felt pity for those who didn`t come because they really missed such a beautiful lecture and Q&A on the topic of increasing our piety further. I posted here some gems that I managed to capture during his lecture:

• Ramadhan should be the most anticipated month for the believers
• Islam is the complete way of life. Submission to Allah has to be done completely
• Allah warns us againts counter productivity. Muslims should set our timetable around salah, not the other way round.
• If we look at salah and ponder upon it,  we would see lessons of leadership, patience in it.
• We have to be conscious to Allah with fully conscious the way he deserves it.
• Ad dhikr is really important to a believer. Allah commands the believers to remember Him excessively. dhikr here encompasses everything from glorification words to Allah using our tongue, to every action that is beloved to him. 
• whoever sends salutation to Prophet, Allah will send salutation to him/her 10 times.
• Indeed, every glorification that we utter is indeed written as a charity. 
• Allah mentioned in Quran that our nation is the best nation ever live in this world because we are the ummah who carry out the duty of inviting towards good and preventing against evil. 
• We have to always protecting and watch our salah. Allah announced that salah is a gift from Allah. Ask ourselves. Are we the front runners in salah?
• Do you know that if we do work, it is considered an ibadah just by us purifying our intention? Our worship to Allah includes our cooking, obedience to husband and parents.
• we should never quite from becoming muslim.. It is 24/7 job.
• Make sure we compete with better muslims as Allah commands us to march towards piety. We have to rush to do something and be the competitor of doing goodness in this life for the sake of Allah.
• Do what other people don`t yet do. Be a stranger: do tahajjud during other months than Ramadhan. 
• Moderation is by worshipping Allah.
