My Precious RM300 gone Paying for the 'Saman' Trafik

I`m not sure if government has decided to extend the discount for traffic fines beyond Dec 15. Previously they have announced that beginning Dec 1, all drivers who have yet to pay their summonses are entitled for 50% discount and it would be effective only until 15th Dec.Afterwards, only 30% of discount will be given until Februray 2011, before they will be blacklisted and hence, not be able to renew their road tax.Well, for people like me who have 4 traffic tickets, it is the best time for me to settle them out

Long queue at police stations is a normal scene from the day the discount was announced. For those with internet access, they can pay it via MyEg or rilek.com. But, hey since >50% of Malaysians are internet connected, high traffic into the page has brought the server down underwater.Left with no choice, I had to resort to do it in conventional way: Set my foot to police station

I have 4 tickets altogether: speeding, blocking path, violating red light, illegal parking. That sums up to total before discount of RM560!. Since the speeding and red light fines are discounted, the new total figure is reduced to only RM310! I have paid up the amount and now I can release a big relief sigh!Alhamdulillah. But still, RM300 gone just like that! If only such money was used for sedeqah ke huhu. Lesson to me to take driving to fullest heed
