Me, Myself and I..first blogging attempt

0 peeps love me

Bismillah

Hi kawan-kawan!.This is my first ever blogging attempt. I would like to start with updating the news of my whereabout. Alhamdulillah, I got a job in TNB and it is officially effective on Jun 23, 2008. So the journey works like the following. The first stage is to get into training program, which is called PEP, stands for Program Executive Pelatih and the period is about 6 months. At this level, my grade is E11. The second stage is apprentice period, which is for another 6 months; Then the final stage is to hold a permanent position in TNB, which entails being an official TNB Executive. Iwill be upgraded into E12. The salary would also see an increase of RM100 plus a few hundreds of special allowances. I donno why they would like to call the extra hundreds as allowances instead of adding it to our base salary. Well, at least they are willing to give right, regardless of where they allocate the money for..

So, now I`m in my 6 month- PEP. And Alhamdulillah I `ve just received my third salary few days ago. I `ve already devised my financial planning; how much for my parents, how much for the gas, utilities, rental house..as well as for the saving. Well, at first, I have a big ambition to put a big amount of bucks into my saving account. But then, it turns out that I needed to use a lof of money for various purposes during the first month ( rental house deposit, new clothes, and so on) and I ended up using the money that was supposed to be my ''not-to-be-touched' one. So my saving in that first month is zero hehe..what a big ambition Norah, i told to myself..but hey, better that not planning at all, right?

I am currently attached to Planning Division, one of the 10 divisions in TNB. The core ones are Generation, Transmission and Distribution. Those who are attached to these 3 divisions would be working as real engineers. My position in the office is Generation Planning Engineer.everyone here in System Planning Development Department would hold the engineer title, however; the nature of the job isn`t like other engineers whom most of them have to dirty their hands. Well, for planning engineers like myself, we don`t have to literally dirty our hands, instead we have to dirty the computer, because we are basically in office job. We deal a lof with planning softwares, making report using Excel, Database as well as Word. As a generation planning engineer, we have to figure out how many power stations need to be implemented in the future; its fuel type, its combination and so on. This is executed using a software. Then I have to come up with annual generation plan report. That`s the routine of my job. Thus, it explains that I have to master Word, Excel, Database and other office applications. Waaaa..kalaulah kutahu dr awal, akan kupelajari semua2 itu sejak dulu..Hehe..takper, boleh belajar balik.

That`s pretty much about me for time being. Later, i`ll write about something else.
